This combination medication is used primarily to manage patients with atherosclerosis who are at high risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes. It combines the cholesterol-lowering effects of rosuvastatin with the antiplatelet effects of clopidogrel.
Indications:
Prevention of Cardiovascular Events: Used in patients with established cardiovascular disease or those at high risk of such events, including heart attacks and strokes.
Post-Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS): Helps prevent further cardiovascular events in patients who have recently experienced an ACS, such as a heart attack or unstable angina.
Hypercholesterolemia with High Cardiovascular Risk: For patients needing intensive lipid-lowering therapy along with antiplatelet action to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
