This combination medication is used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, with metformin, a biguanide, to provide a synergistic approach to lowering blood glucose levels.

Indications:

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus:

  • Indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
  • Suitable for patients who are inadequately controlled on metformin alone or those already being treated with both sitagliptin and metformin.
